Landscape Structures has been helping create healthy kids and a sustainable world since 1971. Throughout this time, we've installed thousands of playgrounds at city parks, schools and childcare centers, and brought fun and happiness to millions of children worlwide. Children are foremost on our minds as we design, engineer and manufacture each playsystem that leaves our doors. And to help us stay accountable to our sustainability goals, we present this 2010 Corporate Sustainability Report.

Those of you who know Landscape Structures well might be surprised to learn that this is our first Sustainability Report. After all, environmental stewardship has been a core part of our culture since the earliest days of our operations. But we believe that this Report should not just be a celebration of how much we have accomplished, but an acknowledgement of how far we have to go. We hope this Sustainability Report brings new energy to our sustainability planning and is the means to a higher level of environmental stewardship.

Landscape Structures has accomplished a great deal over the last 40 years, but we've also reached a crucial phase of our journey—one that requires a concentrated effort to achieve meaningful gains. We wanted to share our environmental aspirations and commitments with all of our stakeholders—suppliers, employees, playground consultant, our local community and our customers—and hope that you might help us on this journey. Only through transparency and collaboration can we continue to progress and leave a better world for our children.
