New park on Riverside's Eastside is skateboarders' delight

Park opens with skate expectations
The new Skatewave® skatepark at Pelican Park in Mandeville, La., recently opened to hoards of local riders. Talk of building a skatepark surfaced more than five years ago, and now it has come to fruition. Check out The Times-Picayune to learn more about the project.
Skatewave® enters Mexico
Durango, Mexico, recently purchased a Skatewave skatepark to be combined with concrete components for the final result of a hybrid park. The Durango Municipality Skatepark is the first Skatewave skatepark in Mexico, and with a total cost of nearly $600,000, it is the largest known in the entire country.
It's a dream come true
August was a dream come true for members of the Crookston Skate Park Committee in Crookston, Minn. Their two and a half years of hard work finally paid off--in the form of a Skatewave skatepark. Fundraising, donations and grants allowed the Committee to purchase six pieces of equipment for the first phase of their skatepark.
First European Skatewave skatepark opens
Ireland's newest skatepark opened in Ennis, County Clare. To celebrate the opening, Rodney Jones was there to offer skateboarding tips and treat attendees to a skate demo. See our Skatewave Goes to Ireland video.

Skatepark Takes Shape
Following a presentation to the city council, local riders of DeWitt, Iowa, gained city approval for a new Skatewave skatepark. Fundraising immediately kicked off and now, three years later, the skatepark is taking shape. Check out the Quad-City Times to read more about the efforts of the DeWitt riders.
Skatewave Receives Rave Reviews
After three years of planning, Penn Hills, Penn., finally opened its first Xtreme Sports Park to skateboarders, BMX riders and rollerbladers.
