Sparks@Play and Countryside Play Structures Recognized as Landscape Structures’ 2009 Rookies of the Year

Accomplishments of each firm’s inaugural year honored at annual sales meeting

Delano, Minn. (Jan. 21, 2010) – Landscape Structures Inc., a Delano, Minn.-based commercial playground manufacturer, has named Sparks@Play of Owings Mills, Md., and Countryside Play Structures of Parker City, Ind., the 2009 Rookies of the Year. The awards were presented to both teams during Landscape Structures’ annual sales meeting in Minneapolis, Minn.

Sparks@Play joined Landscape Structures in January 2009 as the exclusive playground consultant in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. Countryside Play Structures came on-board in February 2009 and provides Landscape Structures playground equipment throughout Kentucky and most of Indiana.

An award usually reserved for one outstanding organization was shared between Sparks@Play and Countryside Play Structures. “Picking one firm over the other would have been impossible,” said Pat Faust, Landscape Structures president. “Both Sparks@Play and Countryside Play Structures really shined in 2009. They invested in their organizations, were extremely open to Landscape Structures training and support, and they established relationships with key decision makers.”

“It is really great when our new reps challenge themselves and one another,” Faust continued. “These two groups worked very hard and had great success in their first year. They have positioned themselves for a great future!”
