MINNEAPOLIS - January 19, 2006 – Hernando County, Fla. is receiving an upgraded Skatewave® community skatepark. The project will begin Jan. 30, 2006, and will be completed by Feb. 3, 2006. Hernando Park originally featured Skatewave 2.0 equipment. That equipment is being replaced by Skatewave 3.0 equipment, which was recently introduced. The new equipment will be installed on the existing site. The new skatepark and the installation services are being supplied by Skatewave. 

Hernando Park will have a Grand Opening community celebration event at the end of February. This Grand Opening, sponsored by Skatewave, will feature a skate demo by a sponsored pro rider, a clinic for beginning riders, music and a skatepark seminar. All local riders and residents are invited to attend. More information about this event will be available soon.
